Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the SkillsFound platform at skillsfound.com, operated by Hire Away d.o.o., Bijankinijeva 8, Split, Croatia (OIB: 20142368767) ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. The platform

SkillsFound is a skills-first hiring platform that connects candidates and employers based on transferable skills rather than job titles. We provide a marketplace for candidates to create skill profiles and for employers to post roles and identify suitable candidates.

We are not a recruitment agency. We do not participate in hiring decisions, employment contracts, or any aspect of the employment relationship between candidates and employers. Any hiring arrangement made through the platform is solely between the candidate and the employer.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SkillsFound. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over.

Employer accounts must be used by or on behalf of a legitimate business entity. Creating employer accounts for fraudulent or deceptive purposes is prohibited.

4. Candidate accounts

Candidate accounts are free. There is no charge to create a profile, apply to roles, or be matched with employers.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile. You must not misrepresent your skills, qualifications, location, or any other information on your profile.

You confirm that any CV you upload is accurate and belongs to you. You must not upload CVs or documents belonging to other people.

Your contact details and CV will only be shared with an employer at the point of match, as described in our How It Works page.

You may delete your account at any time. Deletion will remove your profile from employer search and cancel any pending applications.

5. Employer accounts

Employer accounts require payment to post roles beyond the one free post included with each new account.

Pay-per-post: €25 per job listing, active for 90 days from the date of posting. The listing will automatically deactivate after 90 days. You may close a listing early at any time from your dashboard.

Subscription: €89 per month, billed monthly through Stripe. Includes a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused subscription time.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a payment you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your card details.

You must ensure that job posts are accurate, genuine, and comply with applicable employment law. You must include a genuine salary or salary range on every post. Posts that misrepresent the role, company, or terms of employment are prohibited.

The match function reveals a candidate's contact details and CV. You must only use this function for candidates you genuinely intend to contact for interview. Frivolous or abusive use of the match function is a breach of these Terms and may result in account termination without refund.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not use SkillsFound to:

Create fake, misleading, or fraudulent accounts or profiles. Post roles that do not represent genuine employment opportunities. Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform by automated means. Attempt to bypass security measures or access accounts that are not yours. Use candidate contact details obtained through the platform for any purpose other than progressing a genuine hiring process. Harass, discriminate against, or otherwise mistreat candidates or employers. Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or offensive. Violate any applicable law or regulation including data protection and employment law.

Breach of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

7. Intellectual property

The SkillsFound platform, including its design, code, content, and skills library, is owned by Hire Away d.o.o. and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the platform, including your profile information and CV. By submitting content you grant us a limited licence to display and process it as necessary to operate the platform.

8. Privacy

Your use of the platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it carefully. By using the platform you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

9. Fraud reporting

Both candidates and employers can report suspicious profiles or job posts using the report function available on the platform. We will review all reports and take action where we determine a breach of these Terms has occurred, including suspending or deleting accounts.

We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether a report warrants action. We are not obliged to disclose the outcome of any investigation to the reporting party.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SkillsFound provides a platform for connecting candidates and employers. We make no guarantee that candidates will receive job offers or that employers will find suitable candidates through the platform.

We do not verify the accuracy of information provided by users. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from reliance on inaccurate profiles, job posts, or other user-submitted content.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by emailing [email protected].

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, without liability to you. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable upon termination for breach.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Croatia, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.
